The Old Man and the Sea is a book about Santiago, an older fisherman who has very little money. A boy by the name of Manolin helps Santiago with most of his daily needs. Santiago, having been unsuccessful at catching any fish for a streak of 84 days, decides to fish outside of his usual zone only to be greeted by the largest marlin he has ever seen.
